Soaring to New Heights: My Journey Towards a Private Pilot's License

It's Brandon, and I'm here to share a thrilling chapter of my life that recently began - my journey towards obtaining a private pilot's license.

Before I delve into this exciting adventure, let me give you a glimpse of my past. I spent 12 incredible years in the military, and during those years, I had a passion for skydiving. With over 600 jumps all around the world, I experienced the exhilaration of flight.

But there was always one dream that lingered in the back of my mind: learning to fly planes myself. This year, my amazing wife, Jessica, made that dream come true by surprising me with enrollment in a ground course for aspiring pilots. Today, I took my very first flight in the pilot's seat, and it was nothing short of exhilarating.

My "discovery flight" was a mesmerizing experience. The instructor introduced me to the inner workings of the plane and its capabilities. Then, the moment I'd been waiting for arrived - I took control of the aircraft. As we soared over the iconic Garden of the Gods by Pikes Peak, I felt a rush of adrenaline and fulfillment. The view from up there was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
