With higher rates and the usual winter slowdown, many are hesitating, but I genuinely believe it's a great time to buy—I'm closing on a property myself in December! How Much Does It Cost To Sell My House?

Selling your house comes with some expenses, but don't worry, most homeowners today have built up enough equity to cover these costs and still make a good profit.

Here are some typical costs you might encounter:

Closing costs and commission: These are fees you pay at the closing table, usually around 2-4% of the sale price. This covers things like taxes and your agent's commission.

Pre-listing inspection and repairs: This is optional, but it can help you identify any potential issues before buyers do. Your agent can give you advice on what repairs are worth tackling.

Home staging: Also optional, staging can help your house stand out. You can hire a professional or get creative with your agent's help.

Your agent is your secret weapon:

A good agent can save you money by offering advice on staging and repairs, and they can help you price your house strategically to maximize your profit.
